hi im about to buy mw2 and i would like to know if my pc can run it.

my pc :

AMD athlon 64 3500+ 2,2ghz
3gb ram ddr2
ATI radeon sapphire x1950 pro 512mb gdd** pci-e

will it run low-mid 30-40 fps ?

These are the minimum requirements.



OS: Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 (Windows 95/98/ME/2000 are unsupported)
Processor: Intel Pentium 4 3.2 GHz or AMD Athlon 64 3200+ processor or better supported
Memory: 1 GB RAM
Graphics: 256 MB NVIDIA GeForce 6600GT or better or ATI Radeon 1600XT or better
DirectX: Microsoft DirectX(R) 9.0c
Hard Drive: 12GB of free hard drive space
Sound: 100% DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

so yours is just over the minimum, it'll run but at really low fps on the lowest settings
I advise to upgrade your computer slightly (cpu and gfx)

id reccomend using system requirements lab online will basically tell you yes or no google it for the link

I think he means something like this.

choose Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 from the list (bottom box) or enter it in the top text box.

this will gather your computer informations and determine whether or not your computer meets the requirements and what you should upgrade if a part doesn't

Since mw2 runs on a modifed cod4 engine I'm sure you'll be able to play the game. I use to have the x1950 and I was able to play cod4 at the lowest settings at 800x600. The game looked like shit though.

gotta CPU upgrade :D bought it cheap ...

ive now dual core AMD 64 x2 2,4 ghz... will it run now !?! xD

CPU doesn't really effect the majority of graphical settings you can use. I would say you can run some parts of the game on medium while others on low.

This is not true, cod 4 is running on an own made IW Engine,
Mw2 is Modified Quake 3 engine, thats why it runs smoother then Cod4.
