on counter strike source you don´t need an recording programm :/

only use demos

(" record (yourdemoname) ")

and if you have an sick frag or something

(" stop ")


and if you want to watch your demo

(" demoui ")

then click on "load" and choose your (demoname).dem file

then you can watch it,

if you want to get it as an .avi file,

type (" startmovie (demoname).avi ")

then watch the demo, after your demo is finished type (" endmovie ")

then download Virutaldub

go to your cstrike folder, and you see thousands of .tga files

put the first in virtualdub and then click save as.


now you have an avi file of your demo

If you want to record css. Use the demo function and startmovie ;)

In counter-strike source the demo function got the best quality that is also how they get such colors
