Hey i saw today some guys with MaxPrestige in Black Ops. They told me that they found some Fast Level Server. I searched 4 some but found nothing. So does anyone know a Fast Level Server or does something like this not exist because vac ?

Server Modifications:
I would now like to comment on the "server modifications via setadmindvar" issue that people have been bothering the GS staff about. Since launch day, everyone has been complaining about how restricted our ranked servers are. The method used to apply server variable settings that boost XP could also be used to apply the minor changes that would "perfect" the rules and game play on our servers.

Those who are modifying their servers to boost XP should at least indicate it in their server name as a common courtesy for those who do not want falsified xp / rankings. I'm sure that those of us who are truly skilled will own you guys in-game anyway http://forums.gameservers.com/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif, so what other issues do people really have with this besides jealousy?

The patch that Activision/Treyarch+GS will apply to "satisfy" everyone's complaints may very well remove our only chance at "perfecting" our servers.

GS Staff, how do you guys (and Activision/Treyarch) feel about keeping the method enabled for those who only want to apply minor server changes (ie. switching teams, time/score limits, etc.)? Please keep in mind that the majority of us who have purchased servers from you are in clans, so for example, we would like to party up with our clan-mates to battle the world's competition in ranked matches.

If you are against the suggestion, then would you be open to "fine-tuning" the restrictions of ranked servers for us if a list of requests were agreed upon in some organized way?

In conclusion, I realize that you guys may not have had a chance to properly voice your standpoint on the issues at hand with all of the negative feedback, but I'm sure you want the same thing we do in the end, our satisfaction. The pursuit of perfection will require efficient teamwork and synergy between "us" as the end-users, the developers, and GS Staff as the server host and client-to-developer technical liaison. Is there anything you would like to add on that note?

We deployed a server patch to address rankup exploits and some other cheating. Ranked servers have been restarted.

Gameservers.com released a server-side patch today to prevent servers from doing that. They send a mail to all server-customers.

In the official board they wrote that players/admins who used this, will result in a ban or being resetted i heard, nothing that is officially confirmed. We just have to wait and see...

It is a server side glitch and not a hack by the users. so you cannot get banned.

Get your self a admin or server of your own and put these in the server rcon console.

/rcon login ***** ( Replace stars with password )
/rcon setadmindvar sv_ranked 0 ( unranked removes xp settings )
/rcon setadmindvar scr_oldschool 1 ( for the lols )
/rcon setadmindvar scr_tdm_score_suicide 9999989 ( pew pew xp )
/rcon setadmindvar sv_ranked 2 ( changed my mind be ranked ! )
/rcon fast_restart ( restarts settings and by-passes the "Fix" )
( because the fix is in the load up settings fast reload doesnt do all settings only the core ones. )
/rcon setadmindvar scr_tdm_score_suicide 9999979
( some test say this set it and some say this reset it back to default so try with or without this line if you got problems. )


this will work best if you randomise the number a bit some servers like different numbers dont ask me why, just what ive found in testing.

a friend of mine got banned for nothing :D he just got recorded as he lucky killed some guy through the wall ..^^ no cheats no fast rank server, the guy who got killed just said fucking cheater i report you, and yesterday he really got vac banned
and he is 100% not cheating

It's cause he cheated previously. There is no bans based on reporting people. Steam / Valve doesn't give a fuck about people reporting cheaters or reporting cheat sites. They igrnore /discard any reports of cheating instantly. So he must've been cheating some other time before hand and got delayed ban.
