hmm weird,you should be able to change it in game going to multiplayer options.Try connect to server then leave the server but do not exit game,then change the key and type in console /reconnect i think that should work but if this don?t work changing the key thru registry should work.

you can also change in the registry

run ---> regedit ----> activision ---> cod4 and edit the cd-key there

Shaunyboi he already wrote that he try to do it over the registry,so maybe he thought registry=run ---> regedit ----> activision ---> cod4 and edit the cd-key there but if not try that way

Start CoD4, enter your new cdkey at Multiplayer options, join a server and play for a while, quit cod4, your new cdkey should be saved..

if you change the key and it doenst save the key you might concider to take a look if you have aministrator rights..if not thats the reason why it changes back to the other key.
