How to get around a server that bans you by IP address?

Depends if you have a static or dynamic IP. Which server/game are you banned from?

Try to turn off your comp and your router for 1-2 min,then turn on the router and the comp and try it then

It doesn't matter if you have static or dynamic, either way you can change your ip address. If you have static, get a router and hook it up to your modem, then just change the routers mac address. If you have dynamic, then just use ms-dos and some simple commands, or just turn your modem off for about 30 seconds (manually or through modem ip). I won't tell you how to do these, but this is what you need to do, use google as to how to do this. (many sites tell you how to change ip)

Just change your IP to get around IP bans. Easy

Open NOTEPAD > TYPE "ipconfig /release" without "" > save as : ipchange.bat DONE.

whenever you wanna change ur ip real quick without typing anything, just click on the bat file, unplug ur modem wait 5 secs.. or maybe 10 to be sure. and plug it back in. BAM NEW IP !

I'm using AT&T DSL dial in pppoe, would this be a static or dynamic IP? Theres the server IP address, which always stays the same, and the Client IP address which shows 69.107**.**, the **.** changes everytime I dial in, but not the 69.107, I'm still can't get into the servers after I try the modem trick, and right now my router doesn't work with x22 for some reason. What router r u guys using that works well with the x22 servers?

yeah you have static IP address. I had this issue before, and got tired of trying to change the IP. Even changing the mac address didn't work. I got banned on UT99 and it was all IP based. So i finally changed to dsl which is dynamic. :lol:

You need to google more, static ip is not as secure as dynamic, and it is not behind a router xD. Comcast is static ip for sure. I suggest you get a router and connect it to your modem, then change routers mac address. As stated in my previous post in this thread.

i have comcast FYI, and its dynamic...i can change my ip with just with 1 click..

but soon i will be moving to DSL/wireless since comcast has that cap shit..

Let's not argue, i'll state the facts, you will never find a cap limit on how much you download on dsl, therefore comcast is static, you might think it is dynamic, maybe because it changes a few digits but not a whole address, as i am able to change all my digits and achieve a fully new ip in a matter of seconds. Not to brag or anything, just trying to teach you the difference. Only way you can make comcast dynamic includes a router, while i use just one modem/router combined that does the job. Like i said comcast can be dynamic though, but initially there not meant to nor is there a plan for it, or else i would be paying more a month.

ok, but technically Comcast is dynamic either way u look at it...i dont have a router...i use a small modem thats via ethernet to my laptop....you said you cant chnage the full ip address on comcast? are you sure....?

I went inside Computer management, in event viewer/system, there is a warning for DHCP source, in it it says "Your computer has automatically configured the IP address for the Network Card with network address 0016E765Ed32b. The IP address being used is 169.254.184.233"

Any1 else have this warning?

I seem to get this warning everytime I turn on my computer in the event viewer. Does this mean my computer is keeping me static?

If your ip is dynamic, this should do it.
If it isn't, then u could try by calling your service provider and askin them to change your ip(make a bullshit reason, dun tell them it's cause u got banned for cheating) kthx.

not if you have private broadband proxyies like i do. They run like if your not even on a proxy period, so your getin your full bandwidth.

What error do you get?
I can only get on one server. All other give me a "connection failed" error.
