l4d xradar question

i was wondering if the l4d xradar would work for my l4d (1.0.0.9v). I got my l4d by copying the entire l4d folder directly from my friend's pc. I play l4d not in steam but in *garena* its like a lan network.. so will it work?

I'm not sure. The L4D cheat is meant to work for the latest version of the steam game. If you are not playing it on steam, then you haven't received their updates, which would mean it might not work since the cheat only gets updated to work with the steam version. Retail version uses steam, so it works for that as well.

I know what you mean. But, I did say I doubt it; never said that you might be a exception. ;)

I dont really know it it works, but the hack is injecting in a left4dead.exe and it doesnt care about steam or something else. The most important thing is that the exe is not modified in any way, eg. size, cracked, etc.

I'm pretty sure the hack only works with the 'latest' version of the game
so if your game is the latest version of L4D then it should work, with or without steam :)

I will have a look as I have L4D without steam so I'll try :)

Don't listen to Sch kid, he does not know what he is talking about.
As deadfreak555 has said, the hack only works on latest version supported by STEAM.
left4dead.exe is the exe it injects to, but if the cheat is updated to work on new versions, possibilities are that it will not work on older versions.
As far as I know, There is not a 1-day trial period, sorry.

Not possible, as soon as you launch the game, the game logs into STEAM then runs after it logs you in (as far as I know)

if i play on a single player mode without internet, does that mean i have logged to steam as well?

I'm not sure, I'm just explaining the game the way STEAM games work, I don't have this game in particular so I can't test anything, just feeding you some info.
If steam is installed in ur computer, than yes.

ok thanks for the info.. assuming i am using the latest patched version of the game and i would only have to login to steam to play the online game.. and i can play the single player game without logging into steam.. will the hack still work for offline single player game?

From what I've heard, It most likely does work in SP, but I do not have a tester to fully check, sorry.

I know that if you use the demo of the game, yes the xRadar will work. But STEAM will automatically update retail game to the latest version of the game.
