Not bad for your first. But.
1. Change font
2. Purple + Blue looks ugly, try just blue that looks like x22's blue

Try it ;)

It's far from terrible, but it isn't the best. You will certainly get better at this, don't worry.

Tip:


Stick to a colour theme that "works."



For example, if you have a light grey background, but your main design colours are going to be green and brown, it wont exactly blend in (chosen that horrible mix of colors because that is what the main problem is with yours. You should refine it, make it a bit more rounded and shiny).
Try different variations of the same colour, like Mid-Blue to Dark-Blue. Grey-Magenta also mixes nicely with this colour theme, as you will see in my topmost sig.
I didn't throw in any colours that don't go well with each other, you will see that I retained that hue of blue/purple.
