You have to factor everything that will use the power supply. How much will your CPU use for example (overclocked)? Add that on top of what the card needs. Personally i would say get 700 to be safe and future proof, in case you plan to get crossfire.

If you want to be sure, get the best deal you can for your money so that if you further decide to upgrade (which you most probably will) you might save yourself some money on a new PSU. Id say get at the least a 750w just for that bit extra power.

600W should have been enough if it was a good power supply. if you use some cheap ass one it wont bring up enough power on the pci express power cables

I dont know why you guys recommend him a PSU with so much watt. If you got no clue, dont post.
even a Intel Core i7 2600k overclocked to 4.5GHz with a Geforce GTX 590 only uses up to ~475w. (reference is crysis 2 with dx11 + hd texture pack)

For an overclocked 6950, even a good 380w PSU (preferrably bronze certified) is good enough.

Well, the difference between the 7950 and 7970 is about 15-20% performance ;)

Well, 600w should be enough. :)
