There must be some people that work out often on this website, so i'm just wondering a few things:

1) What you do when you work out?
2) What do you do when you prepare to work out?
3) When do you work out? e.g. time of day, time of week
4) Do you work on main areas of your body when working out, or just generally to lose weight?

I was taking a look at the belts that you put around your waist, which send electric shocks to your abs, and they're meant to help you, has anyopne tried these and do these work?

thanks
michael

1. Work out routine.. I work out Mon - Thursday. Monday, Arms. Tuesday, Back and Shoulders. Wednesday Legs, Thursday Chest and Abs...or at least that's what it used to be. I been slacking big time now. lol.
2. Stretch, sometimes half hour cardio.
3. I normally work out from 4-6..including cardio. when no cardio its only about 1:30.
4. I think #1 covers this.

I have not tried the eletric shock belt thingy. Sounds ridiculous.

1. Depends mostly Biking, Running & Swimming.

2. Pack my gue, water, wetsuit/towls and such. Make sure your prepared and you give your body sufficient nutrients, based on your work out. And of course 10 - 15 mins of streching.

3. Morning: 1 1/2 Hour Run/Walk on beach. Afternoon: 1 hour of swimming and a light 30 min jog or a 2 hour bike ride (no more than 2 times a week). 3 Times a week cardio 1/2 - 1 hour work out after/before swim. Almost every week a 50+ mile bike ride, which is quite fun. Every sunday a 2 hour swim in the ocean. My work out is based on wanting to join the US Coast Guard in the near future, and I have competed in several triathlon's.

4. Don't specifically have any targets for my work out, but I want to maintain my fitness. It all depends on what you want to acomplish. Start small and go big.
Remember to count your intake. Try not to stop at mc donalds frequently, and make/eat healthy meals. I don't visit the gym that much, but I try to visit it atleast once or twice a week. Also try to get a nice group of people to train with, like I signed up with team-in-training and they are great people. My instructure is a great guy and is a ex-marine, he also has some great advice. But find people you are compatible with and just enjoy yourself, when you first start getting serious it will/may be tough but once your get that routine you'll feel allot better.

Never used a belt that shocks you. But I suppose there is a first for everything. ;)
