I enjoyed this promo, but what you could work on doing is syncing with velocity a little better, as well as using magic bullet looks with brighter colours, and using less hard effects like fegga said.

No to all that say that there are too much effects.

I'd say you gotta stop with the flashing into black... try making an add layer on top copying the current "flash part (the part you want to make it flash)" and put that on the "add layer" on top.
You'll create a much nicer effect and people will be less annoyed by the effects.

Also you can put a fade out effect on the top "add layer" to make it even more nice.
Also put effects on that add layer to make it an appealing flash instead of just a white light.
