View Full Version : Does x22 change game files permanently?

Dear x22-community,

I want to purchase the xPackage, but I'm scared of getting banned on all of my accounts even if I do only cheat with one of them. Let me describe my problem:

If I inject x22 into the process of -for example- Call of Duty Black Ops, it makes me seeing all players through walls. So it has to change the game files, hasn't it? But if I'm cheating with one of my accounts and playing with another without cheats:
Won't my other account get banned, too, if x22 should ever be detected in this game? I'm asking, because I'm using the same game files there.
Does x22 change them permanently that I can get banned on cheatless accounts, too?

It would be nice to hear from you guys :)

Best regards and sorry for any mistakes in my text,
Ro- Ro- Ro- Rockin' Amadeus :D

Btw: Can anybody tell me if it's "using" or "useing", please? :>

It doesn't change any game files at all.

No. All accounts have different directories. If you inject the hack only the core files of the currently active account will be modified.

Can you tell me more about it?
The default path for Call of Duty Black Ops is:
C:/Programs (x86)/Steam/SteamApps/common/call of duty black ops

I do only see one game folder. Which files of the active account get modified?

Okay, thanks guy :)
But how does it work, if no file is getting modified? I'm interested in it.

It goes into the games process. Once you exit the game the cheat isn't active anymore. Account doesn't matter.

It runs at the same time as the game code. Think of it as an overlay. It's drawing its own visuals on the screen as on overlay over the gameplay screen. If you start up the game without the hack, the overlay is no longer there.

It's extra code riding alongside the game code. It doesn't change any of the game code. When you are playing an online game, the server is sending packets to the client constantly. The packets contain data such as the other players location, etc. so that the client can properly render them on your screen. The hack reads the packet data and draws the location with its own drawing tools (which can differ depending on the coder).

So think of it as a supplement. It doesn't change the game files.

If the cheat gets detected the only account you USE/USED the cheat on, will be banned :p
