Switching to MAC

Hey guys :)
In my office I got a MAC and I can work much better with it. The GUI is fine and smooth, so I really like it.
But here at home I got Windows XP and I got really much Photoshop and Firefox crashes per day, so I can't work so good here at home (I'm an graphic-artist).

Now I would like to hear your opinion and Tipps:
Is the switch to MAC easy?
Whats about Games? I heard that I cant play the most games on MAC...
What about Programmcrashes and stuff?
Whats about an Interface side? (I mean the desktop task bar + GUI)

The MAC is very stable, you wont have much crashes on it, IF the system crashes, it restarts and continues with where u are busy with.
There are less games for the MAC, but there are some for it.

The GUI is fine, just a little different, other file names, and like in windows you install a program, you wont install something on your mac, you will extract your (dmg) file, place the program in your programs folder and done.

Whats about games like CoD4? I heard about an alternative (I guess the name was "wine" or something)...

I would take both, there are always programs you need to run, and what is only possible @ windows.
A virtual machine is an option, but not for games.

Is it possible to start Leopard when I've installed it on my extern HD?

So the idea is: I install Mac OS X Leopard on my extern HD and switch to the Leopard Desktop whenever I want.

Is that possible? > Im not a real computer pro.. :S

You can install Leopard on any disk you like.
Altho, if you want to switch from 1 OS to the other, you have to restart ;)

Re the restart thing is normal :D
But when I install Leopard on my extern HD I can just run it while start? Nice :)
