A few anti-vehicle tips:
- Enemy vehicles do not get a missile lock indicator unless you actually scope in and try to get a lock. This is different from how BF2/2142 handles it if you are familiar with those games. In other words, if you are at close range or feel confident you can hit your target without a lock then fire unscoped. They will have zero warning before they get hit.
- You can fire rockets around corners/obstacles to some extent. After you acquire lock, move your crosshairs off your target and the lock will still hold. Use this technique to curve rockets over hills and around corners.
- If you are wondering why you can't seem to lock onto enemy helis sometimes, they have a stealth mode they can use which prevents missile locks. The flipside to this is they can't fire any of their weapons while in stealth. Wait for them to switch out of stealth then let them have it.
- Try to be unpredictable with your timing when locking onto targets and firing rockets. If you always fire as soon as you get lock it's easy to counter with flares. If you always wait 5 or 6 seconds to try to get your enemy to flare first, they will recognize this and just hold off on the flares. Mix up your timing and it becomes a guessing game for your opponent as they try to counter with flares.
Only the Western Coalition Helicopter can cloak.
Going off that I'll give tips for the Western Coalition Helicopter and APC.
WC Helicopter:
You can cloak by pressing the middle mouse button. A good maneuver to do when you get locked on is to use your flares and then cloak. This breaks the missile that was fired and also breaks anyone else locked on to you.
WC APC:
The secondary gunner seat can shoot down enemy missiles. Any missile in you grid will light up in a triangle, once there you can use your secondary fire (right-click) to shoot down the missile before it hits you. Missiles that can be shot down include: APC missiles, Anti-Tank rockets, Sentry Drone rockets, Helicopter missiles. You cannot shoot down tank shells or the APC's primary gun fire.
I have turned my mouse sensitivity down slightly to play this game. I get less "jumpy" crosshairs and can actually hit things.
More Tips:
-Fix the mini-map location - keeps it from rotation and allows you to communicate an react to compass directions.
-Don't fire from your Squad Leaders location - this just gives his position away and gets him killed!
-Since there is no way to know who on your team/squad has what role or kit, communicate your role/kit to your squad when your in one and try to stick with it. SL's try to ask for the roles from all Squad Members (SM's).
-At close range you probably not be able to kill an opponent with your primary weapon. Use Melee! Bind the Melee key to your mouse or another quick action key to get to it quick!
-Firing when prone and waiting for your cross-hairs to settle (get closer together) will dramatically improve your aim - Also fire your machine guns in BURSTS, especially for long range.
setup an emp stick and grab a 120mm tank and you have safe zone from airstrikes and drones. I used this the last two days with great results. I now have the time to sit still and do some long range bombardment. if you have friendly personal around to help out with choppers you are damn near unstoppable
This is really a great game hope more people play whith it
Playing just whith an xradar is seriously an intensive game
If you guys got tips stuff what u want for enhance this game plz feel free to post it !
