x22 Logo designs - Minimalist/Creative

Hey!



I've dabbled in the past on some logo designs for a few different projects and i'm not going to lie, i really dislike the current x22 logo in the banner and any other areas it is found.
I felt that there is no 'true' logo that defines it or something that is recognisable and memorable.

So I created a design with a few different forms to see what the community thinks.
I would appreciate it if you could provide me with some/any constructive feedback, thanks!

Okay, but could you elaborate on what you mean? So i can improve it?

I like it, but you have to find a way to point out that its x22 not x2

When i zoom it,it actually looks okay,but favicon is a very little one. So you need to make it look pretty when it is unzoomed. Also It is not really x22... it is 2x or x2..

I think dark blue tones could look pretty cool.
Pm me link to your website. I am just curious to look at you works.(i actually fint interesting ppl why contemplate critics as good thing.)
And also i was in a good mood to write this whole post.. I think because i have just finished my English lesson and i wanted to write something.

Yeah, i tried to make it visible that there is two '2's by shadowing the other one, but i will try to find a way of making it look more like x22 rather than x2.

Hey, thanks for that feedback, i do appreciate it, and your english is pretty good!
Actually, as a favicon, it still stands out, and quality remains ( i will upload a favicon sized image).

I have the transparent .PNGs but just wanted to showcase some ideas on the white background.
I don't have a portfolio/website because some of the past work I have done has been icons/thread designs for software for friends, so it isn't really something i 'officially' do.

That's kind of the point, you don't want too messy, abstact things going on. If you think about it, all memorable logo's are simplistic and minimalistic.

And as H4rdH4cker said, it's a bit simple.

Some 3D icons can be, and should be really awesome.

Thanks, as it is my first incarnation i have been working on a new concept which is based on the first, which shows it as x22 as the community feels it is 'incomplete'.

I'll look into ice effects, but it is usually best to keep it simple. Which logos off of the top of your head are not simple, and have lots of different colours (bar google ^^)

I had the same problem when trying to design the logo. I couldn't find anything creative with the three characters, so i decided to just go with an abstract design. Out of all the designs i made, i like the xClient one the best (looks great as a extra large icon).

P.S What do you guys think of this concept? I didn't make it the main because i thought it looked like a graffiti design.

Yeah, i have just added another design concept (very early concept) that you might like. The current xClient one is okay, but i think it could do with an update? I'm looking into adding abstract textures to the (new) design

Your first version looked good. I meant itself but it wasn't that great since you couldn't knew what it should meant. Simple designs are most likely the best because they look clear, simple, easy and elegant.
But the current one looks like crap.

I prefer simple designs since it looks way more like a business but I like the current logo.
PS.: Deadfreak, the new version looks better. Fits better to the background, but still integrate the font and the style a bit more into the background/layers.

Thank you! I thought it was just me who thought simple was the best! I removed the version 1/2 designs. Is that the one you said you preferred? Or the current one on the first post?

That is a simple, creative logo that isn't too abstract and it is professional/more business-like. However the community didn't seem to get that or appreciate it.
I'm thinking of going back to version 2 and working on it a bit based on community feedback.

What is different from DF's new logo apart from thicker shadowing?
Also, i'm going to be working on the first logo again as further denominations of "V2" (check V2.1)

Most likely just the thicker shadow for the main "slogan". Still it fits better to the current font style itself.

Cheers. It would be great if i could work with the site developer to create something together rather then throwing out different designs. But i haven't been approached so... :P
