Adobe after effects or sony vegas. No other options. Music is preference. I say use whatever you want to hear.

Sony Vegas Pro 12.0 or older Vegas Pro versions.
Adobe Premiere is more an option than After Effects.
If you really want to work with After Effects use Adobe Premiere.
Cut the Videos with Premiere and do the effects with After Effects.

I worked myself into Vegas Pro and was confused as hell when opening Adobe the first time :p

I highly reccomend Sony vegas its really good. And for music some dubstep would be perfect, I saw in lot of hack videos that kind of music and tbh i find it appropriate:)

I use Sony Vegas 11 PRO; but if you havent experience with it i recommend you watch some tutorials on YouTube, can find there really nice guides.. newbie friendly
