VAC bans galore L4D L4D2.... when is it safe to buy?

To whom it may concern:

A number of my friends how use the x22 service for L4D and L4D2 have been VAC banned in the last month.

I'm a potential x22 customer that simply wants to know where i can look to find out the VAC status of the xHook software.

I see under status that the cheats are working, however i do not see where the VAC detection status is listed.

I would prefer not to purchase a month's subscription until i know VAC detection is secured again, but i'm unsure where to go as a public member (without access to private forums) to check on VAC detection status.

Is there a one-stop location on x22's website to check this or do i need to log in weekly/daily/hourly to see if any new threads have been posted or if a new client version is released?

It seems if there is a cheat status page there would be a similar page regarding VAC detection status for potential buyers to consult before buying a product they can use but will be detected while using... I understand there's a refund policy if VAC detection status is
"in maintenance" but i'd rather just wait and start my subscription when i know it's working....

Where's the easiest place to check? Perhaps a VAC detection status page ?

you can only see the Status on your xClient if it in Main. or Supported

so just to confirm there's no VAC status page and my best bet is to wait for the announcement of an updated client version's release?

There is no direct location where you can find out the anti-cheat status. You would have to ask us personally by creating a thread or private messaging the staff on the forum (yes you can do this!). Why would you want to wait for it to be updated first? You miss out on any extensions we give out by waiting after the fix is released. Even if you purchased it a day or two ago you would have gotten the one month extension we just did recently. Anyway, as x22 mentioned it has been fixed today!
