Does the TF2 hack work on the steam version, pc version, or both?

I'm just making sure.

It works on both. I guarantee that it works on Steam, and i doubt it would matter as a stand alone, since it still has the same engine and nothing is changed, other than the fact that it is stand alone, rather than with Orange Box. So yeah it works fine on Steam and should work fine on the stand alone game.

even with the stand alone, tf2 needs to be ran through STEAM.

this hack here hooks onto tf2 that is through steam, thus it is compatible with both versions.

yeah, it makes no difference since the game can only run with steam.

There are cracked versions that can be played WITHOUT Steam but you have a limit to servers.
