I'm not sure if the Staff members of this site use it to help with some users with support, but right now I suggest you uninstall it just in case, as the people behind this have complete access to trusted machines, meaning they can open your paypal accounts and transfer money and other notorious stuff. Be cautious everyone.

Just thought I could offer a friendly hand = )

if you not run teamviewer manually or restrict remote control then you should be OK

LOL how a company like TeamViewer can get hacked???? I uninstalled it just in case....

Well its not known if they got hacked or not. Don't forget that there's a malware in combination with Windows and Teamviewer.
Edit: Still, better safe than sorry. The whole situation is a bit fishy.
