Hi all :rockon:
Attached are the NO CD / Intro Skipper / Blur Tweak For D load
Bellow are some additional tweaks you might enjoy ;)

Lag fps G tweak
Locate Ubisoft\Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas\KellerGame\Config\PC\KellerEngine.ini

AS ALWAYS BACKUP KellerEngine.ini BEFORE CHANGING!!!

locate the lines
UseTrilinear=True
LevelOfAnisotropy=4
change them to
UseTrilinear=False
LevelOfAnisotropy=2
or
UseTrilinear=True
LevelOfAnisotropy=1

Only use that tweak if you have older G card ;) and need more fps

Locate
UserMaxTextureSize=4096
Change
UserMaxTextureSize=2048
( i dont change this as it less pretty.. some use 3072 )
Texture resolutions. 4096 is very high. Too high for 256 meg cards. 1024 might even work. Always work in multiples of 64.

locate
ShadowBufferResolution=1024
change
ShadowBufferResolution=512

Shadow resolution. Will look blocky but your framerate will improve.
Here are some other settings:
ShadowBufferResolution=512
MaxShadowResolution=512
MinShadowResolution=16

Night Vision Tweak

goto programs/Tom Clancy's rainbow Six vegas/Engine/shaders/HLSL/MegaPostPRocess/NightVision<----(open with note pad)
change from:
float intensity = dot(PreviousColor, float3(0.3f, 0.59f, 0.11f)) * NightVisionScale;

Edit:
float intensity = dot(PreviousColor, float3(5.0f, 0.59f, 0.16f)) * NightVisionScale;

10.0f TOO BRIGHT! 5.0f seems a little more reasonable. To each there own. try5.0f~10.0f. find whats best for you.

BEST TWEAK

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas\KellerGame\Config\PC\ KellerEngine.ini

MinStreamedInMips=6
MaxStreamedInMips=14

Change to:

MinStreamedInMips=64
MaxStreamedInMips=128

You can try other values (128-512+) if you want.
This can make game less sluggish and more fluid
much more ;)

Change Punkbuster checks on your PC from 20ms to 500ms. All this does is delay the amount of times between checks,
This is legal and suggested by Evenbalance for connection issues.

Join any R6:V online server which is running punkbuster. Once you are in, press the `~(Tilda) key or @ key.
A large white box should drop down with a load of text in it.

Type:
pb_sleep 500
Hit the enter key.

Once you have done this, make sure the box is still up..
Type

pb_writecfg

to save your settings.

Sound Tweak

Go to Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas\KellerGame\Config\PC\KellerEngine.ini

Find
[ALAudio.ALAudioDevice]
MaxChannels=32
TimeBetweenHWUpdates=15

change to

[ALAudio.ALAudioDevice]
MaxChannels=64
TimeBetweenHWUpdates=10

if you play single player or non punkbuster..ie lan game just turn the blur bloom crap off..

**do not use with PB**

Locate
bUsePostProcessEffects=True

change to

bUsePostProcessEffects=False

Turns off the framerate sapping bloom\blur effects

**do not use with PB**

:rockon:Enjoy people:rockon:

Hey,

Tweaks increase the FPS in about what? 10, 20?

I'm running my game in 640*480 and "Above High" process priority because my dam graphic card is becoming old (Radeon x1650 SE, 512Mb DDR2) do you have any more tips? ^^

Thanks, Regards,
Mywk

I have a Radeon x1600 PRO 256MB DDR2. I played Rainbow Six Vegas 2 at 1024*768 resolution, and everything else was not touched. FPS are pretty good. :biggrin:

I also play CoD4 at 1280*1024 and everything else was not touched. I still get some good FPS. I mean obviously it will drop in a small map with a lot of people. :wink:

I have everything over clocked too, until i decide to upgrade. :cool:

Then something on my damn computer is slowing it down, well, maybe the x1650 SE just sucks, maybe my computer is too dam hot and i need a cooling system (i just shut down it and restart it, i think in two years i never had it shutdown more than 3 hours anyway), i have a AMD x64 1.86Ghzx2 and at leastfor now with this graphic card in 640*480 resolution i get in Cod4 100 stable fps and in Vegas2 60 stable :confused:

Dont know if i should over clock or not, this is a room where is always hot and i have no patience to buy a cooling system ^^

right now i have my video card over clocked. I have a side fan down to my CPU, 2 fans on the back and one of the front. The one fan at the back cools my video card, and the other one helps cool my CPU along with the side fan all the way down to the CPU. :cool:

I have a P4 3.0GHz @800MHz front bus speed. Also i have 2GB RAM. :wink:

Keep it cool, and just have some restart. I know at times i must restart because my PC gets all funn. :biggrin:

Tonight i will defragmentate the disk and overclock the graphic card, maybe i overclock the CPU too, well, i removed my computer case side protection so its no problem in it getting too hot.

Right now I'm cleaning the computer and disabling some windows useless services, hope that helps, if it helps i will post here everything i made, maybe it gets useful to someone else :smile:

Yeah i have all the windows shit disabled. :wink:

Before i took my side cover off, but no need now. I also use to have a small fan blowing on my gfx card and cpu. :cool:

Umm WOW...just WOW about how much disk space you get. :eek:

Yeah I have XP, and I'm sticking with it. :cool:
