My gaming "rig" is a laptop:
- HP DV9700T
- Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 (2.2GHz)
- 4GB RAM
- Hitachi 320GB 7200RPM HD
- NVidia GeForce 8600M GS 512MB
- Vista Ultimate x64
- Belkin Nostromo pad & MSFT Sidewinder mouse
Can't go all-out on graphics. I mostly play UT3 and performance is decent when graphics are set to mid.
The laptop does get pretty hot but it seems to handle the gaming stress.
here my "rig" :D

3gb RAM
Samsung 1000 gb
Radeon 4870 x2
Windows Vista 64 bit
I dont know the name of the mainboard xDD
:) shitty vista :((
@ Speedlink, nice fake :P see you in war/steam^^
Some people just like saying "I have more than you".
One person I knew not long ago, wanted to get 16GB of memory, simply because his motherboard supported it (he already had 5GB). Never mind the cost implications and the fact that you wouldn't be able to see ANY difference
Only production systems running Vista should need 8GB of RAM - servers are allowed, provided it's not "I have more than you" again.
(my server has 8GB of RAM, and yes, it's needed)
Manufacturer: MSI
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3600+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.0GHz
